read inspirational quotes
Yesterday, I wasn’t inspired.
I had planned to go a MeetUp in Manhattan as my self-care act and make new friends.
It seemed like a super cool self-care act when I planned it but yesterday, it seemed just like another chore.
I didn’t feel like commuting for 40 minutes, talking to people, coming back and waking up at 6 AM to be at the bakery at 7.
I cancelled and as I was feeling flat, I thought that reading inspirational quotes would cheer me up.
I googled “inspirational quotes” and found hundreds of them.
Usually, there is always one that echoes in me, awakens something and inspires me. Either to be thankful, to keep going, to be patient….anything.
But yesterday, they all seemed cheesy.
Even Buddha was barely motivational with this one: “ Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship”
Mah….is the only reaction it inspired me.
That’s when I knew the choice of myself care act wasn’t adapted to my mood.
And that’s when I checked my feelings.
And I realized all I wanted was to be home, with Hubby, ask him to make me dinner again, cuddle in front of TV.
Get some rest.
That’s what I ended up doing.
Conclusion: If you try different things to be good to yourselves, you will find something that works just fine. So just keep going
WHY IS IT SELF-CARE? Inspirational quotes can motivate, guide you and help you make better decisions in every area of your life.
