enjoy the first snow of the winter
Life is about balance.
It’s about having the right dose of the right thing at the right time.
So it’s also about luck. Because you can’t always choose the timing.
Yesterday, I got very lucky.
I’ve been waiting for the snow for almost two months now. I’ve been waiting for so long that I was about to abandon the idea of being able to watch it fall this winter.
And then, two days ago, they announced this huge and perfect storm.
Huge because it was strong enough to keep us at home and close schools.
Perfect because it lasted just one day. With young kids, you don’t want to be stuck at home for more than that. Because after the first day, they start getting bored but still, you can’t take them anywhere.
So yesterday, I was grateful to be able to enjoy this first, probably last but absolutely perfect snow.
We tried to build a snowman, had a snowball fight, went for a walk, watched the flakes fall, pretended we were arctic explorers, ate homemade cake at our neighbors.
And then we got back home, thankful for being able to enjoy the comfort of our modern and warm lives.
Love to all my friends and see you tomorrow.

WHY IS IT SELF-CARE? Kids love snow. And I love it too. If you dont like the snow because it’s too cold outside, know that your problem is not necessarly the snow: it might be that you’re not wearing the appropriate clothing. So try this self-care act with gloves, hat, warm jacket and shoes and see. If you still don’t like it, staying inside with a warm hot chocolate is cool too 🙂

I’m trying to find a cool video on how to make a snowman. As soon as I get it, I’ll post it here.
Love to all my friends 🙂
